ABOUT THE MEETING

The Academy of Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care (AVECCT), the Academy of Veterinary Technician Anesthetist (AVTA), the Academy of Veterinary Dental Technicians (AVDT), and the Academy of Internal Medicine Veterinary Technicians (AIMVT), in partnership with Veterinary Technician journal, are pleased to announce the fourth annual NCVTSA. This continuing education conference offers advanced training to veterinary technicians interested in one or more of the four academy disciplines. The conference will be held on March 28 and 29, 2008, in cooperation with AAHA! Tampa 2008. The meeting is being sponsored in part through the generosity of Hill's Pet Nutrition.

In 2005, the inaugural NCVTSA set a number of important firsts:

  • The first joining together of veterinary technician specialty academies recognized by NAVTA in this type of continuing education endeavor
  • The first CE program planned by and for veterinary technicians on a national level
  • The first veterinary technician specialty CE program held in conjunction with the annual conference of the American Animal Hospital Association

In 2008, we continue to offer two full day's worth of programs. Each day, technicians can choose from two simultaneous lecture tracks with experts in the specialties presenting cutting-edge CE. Attendees will be eligible to earn 15 hours of CE credit.
